Siri Can Read Messages of a Locked iPhone Due To iOS Bug

With the iOS bug, Siri comes with a security bug that is able to read your messages without necessarily asking for the phone unlock. It can also read notification even when you have hidden them. Bug that could enable anyone to read your messages without unlocking the phone. The bug is basically used to access someone’s locked iPhone and read the hidden notification messages without asking for a passcode. The bug does not have an effect on Apple’s messages up but can cause some effects to third-party apps like WhatsApp, Skype and Telegram are vulnerable to this issue.

How To Test

To test for latest Siri bug, you head over to Settings > Notifications > relevant messaging app > Show Previews > select “When Unlocked.” After this, when you get a new message from that particular app, simply ask Siri to read notifications without unlocking your phone. It is important to note that, in case Siri may cause some vulnerabilities, you can disable access to it from the lock screen.
